PROJECT OVERVIEW
An Imaginative Land:
Where there is shadow, there is light
The Lost Light is a 2D platformer game I created as part of the Game Design course at RMIT University Vietnam.
The game follows a nameless girl who finds herself lost in a deep, dangerous forest — far from the noise of the city. To make it out, she must find her own path through the shadows, guided only by the ‘Light’ she collects along the way. These lights help her survive hostile creatures and illuminate her journey forward. Players must gather all the missing ‘Heart’ items to complete the game.
More than just a platformer game, I wanted it to be open to interpretation — a personal experience that could feel abstract, symbolic, or simply atmospheric. The visual is quiet, ethereal, and a little mysterious — soft glows, moonlit tones, and calming scenes.
