PROJECT OVERVIEW
A brief introduction to Mindfulness Meditation
This short animation was part of my Digital Media Studio course at RMIT Vietnam. Around the same time, I took an online class that explored the link between Buddhism and modern psychology — and it unexpectedly opened my mind to new ways of thinking about happiness, behavior, and the present moment. That experience had planted the seed for this project.
Visually, I wanted to create something soft and spacious that feels like taking a breath. The motion flows gently, following a slow and steady rhythm that mirrors the act of mindful breathing. The palette is mostly calming and sweet, but highlighted with a pop of vibrant blue to evoke a sense of clarity and joy. This short animation made use of abstract forms rising and falling, expanding and contracting to also deliver each act of practicing mindfulness.
